Of Mothers and Mazda!

Happy Mother's Day!  I hope all the mothers reading this have been able to put their feet up and enjoy breakfast in bed and lunch at their favorite restaurant!  This is my fourth motherless Mother's Day, one of those days that I miss my mother more than others.

On the other hand, I can declare without reservation that I freaking love this woman!

That's Keith's mom--my mother-in-law.  She is without a doubt the most giving, caring person walking the earth today.  I have never know her to say "no" to someone with a need.  Her capacity to care for others is deep, profound and inspirational.  I am very lucky to have her in my life.

When she and I first met, we clicked right away. Keith and I were not seeing each other at the time, except as friends.  She immediately started asking Keith when he was going to get together with "that nice Eddie."  She's also very perceptive.

She has been beyond supportive of us, our relationship, and our life together.  One time she told me that I was her "favorite daughter-in-law."  I cannot imagine our life without her in it.

That picture of her is my favorite.  Keith makes her a photo calendar every year for Christmas.  When we visit each year at Thanksgiving, one of the tasks for the visit is to get enough pics for the calendar.  She spends a lot of time telling him to take pictures of this, that, or the other thing "for the calendar."  One year, it was pictures of her on her riding lawn mower.

When he showed me the calendar for this year, I fell in love with that picture.  I knew I was going to use it for Mother's Day.  Happy Mother's Day, Mereta!  I love you!

Since it's also Sunday, that means it's Mazda shot day (when I remember to take it).  We had another day where we had to do a drop-off midway through.  We bought two bicycles (for us) at the first sale.  They took up a lot of room.  Then, Keith bought a chair for the backyard, so a clean out was necessary.

That TV was a curb pick-up.  The bags came from the comic shop, which was having another sale.  The rest is for you to pick out.  Until tomorrow.

I must be wonderful to have a mother-in-law like her. For once I cannot pick anything out in the Mazda shot. Geez, Eddie, you are such a tease.
